Beyond Equity: The Courage to Care Podcast – IEN resilience

“I'm raising the Filipino flag in excellence, compassion, skills, honesty and knowledge. IENs, we are not perfect, but every day we bring with us the goodwill and dedication to provide exemplary nursing care for to all.”

Today we debut episode two of Beyond Equity: The Courage to Care, a new three-part podcast from ONA. This podcast is all about hearing stories from one another, through a perspective of anti-racism and anti-oppression. If you think about these issues, especially how they relate to your work, this podcast is for you.

In this episode we meet Leila, an internationally educated nurse working in a hospital.

Leila talks about her journey to Canada, adjusting to a different nursing environment, dealing with the judgement and discrimination she has experienced from colleagues and patients, and how she stays positive through it all.

We hope you enjoy this episode. Listen and share it with a friend. They may need these stories, too.
