Nonsensical

The following letter to Premier Doug Ford was written by Richard Thompson, a concerned member of the public, and shared with ONA.
Mr. Ford,
I expect now that you’re down in the polls that you’ll be scrambling for support. I suggest two simple things.
Start by supporting our nurses. Give them a safe workplace environment. British Columbia is introducing specific mandatory ratios for hospital units, such as 1:4 in medical/surgical units and 1:1 in critical care, to improve patient care and reduce staff burnout.
Pay nurses what they deserve. Not to discount their value, the police are important members of our society and deserve to be well paid. Both professions are challenging and should be equally respected. Having said that, a Toronto police constable with four years of experience earns more than an RN with 30 years of experience. How does that make any sense?
