Straight time

Full-time nurses at my hospital who work a DDNN rotation can’t meet their annual 1950-hour commitment.
The HR department thinks they can mandate that all full-time nurses work an additional 22.5 hours at straight time every nine weeks despite how many shifts they need to work to meet their annual commitment. Full-time employees can either work off their deficit at straight time OR take stat time from their banks.
Depending on how a full-time employee’s shifts fall for the calendar year, some nurses statutory holiday banks are being robbed OR they’re made to work hours at STRAIGHT time despite these pick-up shifts putting them into an annual overtime.
I for one am being robbed by my employer. I only need 8.3 shifts this year to meet 1950 hours and my employer is taking a stat out of my bank every four weeks. A total of 41 hours that is being robbed from my banked time.
Something needs to change.
