Name game
On the heels of the disrespect we were shown and disappointment we felt over the Ontario Hospital Association’s ridiculous wage increase, our employer gave our after-hours coordinators a title change to “manager,” with a hefty pay increase.
When challenged by the ONA executive, the only reason given for the title change was that the title “manager” holds more weight with decision-making.
No added responsibly, no changes to anything at all, except a title change and pay raise that nurses could only dream of.
Shame!
