Proud

I went to give my condolences to a resident whose mother had passed away.
Her son was present in the room. I told her I was sorry for her loss and gave her a hug. She introduced me to her son as “the best nurse here.”
She then mentioned she hadn’t seen me for awhile. I told her I hadn’t been there for three weeks. She told me I should be there everyday because if you needed something, I would get it done!
She went down to lunch. The PSW was pushing her back to her room and she stated again that I was the best nurse.
It made me very proud of what I do.
